Our Story
I grew up in the sun-soaked city of Izmir, Türkiye — a place where the smell of sea breeze and fresh cotton filled the air, and where textiles weren’t just products, but part of our family’s legacy. My grandparents worked with looms, my mother knew the softness of every towel she touched, and I grew up wrapped in the kind of quality that only comes from generations of care and craftsmanship.
When I moved to France, something surprising happened — friends would constantly ask me about the towels in my bathroom, the robes I wore, or the throws on my couch. “Where did you get this?” they’d ask. And the answer was always the same: “It’s from home.”
That’s when the idea for Turkish Atelier was born.
I realized that what felt so normal and everyday to me — the texture, durability, and beauty of Turkish textiles — was actually something special. I wanted to share that with more people. Not the overpriced luxury version, but the real thing: beautifully made, affordable, and rooted in heritage.
Starting this small business is my way of staying connected to home, and offering others a way to bring a little warmth, tradition, and quality into theirs. Every item in this shop is handpicked with love, sourced from trusted artisans and makers in Türkiye who still do things the right way.
Thank you for being here. It truly means the world.
